Local historian Neil Storey s book, North Walsham and District, went out of print in 1995.
It contains more than 200 black and white photographs of people and buildings in the town and surrounding villages, dating from the 19th century to the 1970s.
Now Bob White has ordered a limited print run of 50 new copies and is selling them at 13.99 each in his Showcase Gallery gift shop, on Market Place.
Mr White said he had sold more than 150 copies of Mr Storey s second edition of the work and knew that there was a tremendous interest in local history in the town.
He managed to track down a first edition via the internet and, with Mr Storey s agreement, had got in touch with a publisher.
People are genuinely interested in these books.
They love to see their history recorded and to look and see whether granddad or great-granddad is in there, he added.
The book also covers Westwick, Worstead, Swanton Abbott, Scottow, Buxton and Lammas, Gunton, Antingham, Edingthorpe, Swafield, Felmingham, Witton, Crostwight, Honing, East Ruston, Dilham, Sloley and Smallburgh.
Among its many nostalgic plates are photos of harvesting near Worstead in 1926, the opening of North Walsham Memorial Hospital in 1924, ice skating on Captain s Pond, Westwick in 1938-1939, schoolchildren, outings and football teams through the ages, wartime evacuees, and long-lost shops and streets.
